Privacy policy
Effective September 21, 2026. This policy describes the MathScroll iOS app provided by Shukri Ali.
Your information stays on your device
MathScroll does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. Quiz preferences, appearance settings, and your Screen Time app selections are stored locally on your device. The app does not send your quiz answers, selected apps, browsing history, or Screen Time activity to the developer.
Screen Time access
With your permission, MathScroll uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to block the apps or categories you select and restore blocking after an unlock period. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens. MathScroll shares these tokens and settings only between its app and Screen Time extensions through an on-device App Group.
Notifications
MathScroll uses local notifications to help you open a quiz from a blocked app. These notifications are generated on your device. You can disable them in iOS Settings.
App updates and service providers
MathScroll uses Expo's update service to check for and download compatible app updates. These network requests provide the service with ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, and technical app information needed to select an update, such as platform and app runtime version. Your Screen Time selections and quiz answers are not included. Expo processes requests under its privacy policy. App Store distribution and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple's settings and privacy policy.
Your choices and deletion
You can change or clear your blocked-app selection in MathScroll, revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings, and disable notifications. Removing the app removes its ordinary local app data; Apple controls any retained system data and device backups. MathScroll does not maintain a developer-hosted account or profile for you.
